My first submission to the year long 'Street Photography Now' project. Each week an instruction is posted by the organisers and the photographer is then expected to go and take a picture that they think best represents the instruction.

The instruction for week one is 'If you can smell the street by looking at the photo, it's a street photograph'

Olympus XA

New Toy

It took a month for this camera to get here. Mainly due to a post office strike. The XA was a camera I was keen of getting my hands on due to the fact that it's so compact but also offers manual rangefinder focusing and aperture priority. An ideal camera for street photography and any other occasion when you want to travel light.
