Kennedy Space Centre
When we visited Florida in 2008, we were fortunate enough to visit the Kennedy Space Centre at Cape Canaveral. A place I had wanted to go and visit for close on 30 years.
The Rocket Garden, full of rockets.
Waiting to get on the Kennedy Space Centre tour bus.
I can't remember what this particular complex was for? I think it was possibly a VIP/Media viewing platform for launches.
This was the launch control sentre for the Apollo Moon missions.
The Saturn V rocket. Such an immense machine, truly awe-inspiring.

Kelvedon Hatch
While in the UK in 2004 I paid a visit to Kelvedon Hatch, just read below for an explanation.
A terrorist threat exists.
This would be where the Prime Minister would sleep.
And this would be where everyone else would doss.
I don't know if those mannequins would serve a purpose during a nuclear attack?
The Minister of Defence gets the smallest monitor in the bunker, obviously as punishment for not doing his job properly in the first place!
A telephone directory. Presumably to check how far gone with radiation sickness your friends outside are?
I'm unsure if you tried sending anything with these machines today there would be anyone with the necessary equipment to receive?
That's the reason we're in here. Yes.
This will be the future of computing once we re-emerge from our holes in the ground.

The operating theatre. The coffin in the background isn't probably what a patient wants to see as they are being anesthetized!
